Wi-Fi Lock Setup

Install - Step 1

Took the old deadbolt out.

Step 2.1

Added the dead bold and faceplate. Making sure the bolt could turn.

Step 2.2

Face plate on the front of the door.

Step 3

Added the back side plate and bolted it to the front plate. Make sure you pull the power plug through so you can connect it to your batteries.

Step 4

Connected the back box and front plate together. Then I screwed the back panel onto the plate you saw before and simply put the battery pack in and slid the cover over the battery pack.

Just an image

In this image you can see the two screw holes that I used to mount this back piece to the metal mount on the back of the door you saw previously.

Schlage Home app

First get the app. Then click this black button. It will enable the WIFI bolt to sync with your phone and hook up to your WiFi.

Add lock and give it a name

At the bottom of your phone screen after you give your lock a name you can proceed.

Finish adding your Lock

Literally goes to Success and its added to your app.

Can now use the app anywhere

You do have to add your WI-FI. I forgot to take an image of it. It's the same as if you connected your phone. You find your WI-Fi name and then put in your password.

You can now start locking and unlocking your front door from anywhere you have internet service on your phone.

Setting up Extra Pins

Simply go to the lock in your app (mine is the image above/front door.) To the right of that you click the three dots. Click manage access. At the top right hit the plus sign. That next screen is where I created Friends.

Creating the Extra Pin

Where you see Guest Code is where I placed friends.

Just below in Access Code. For example 123321. That pin will then unlock your door. Please don't use example pin above.

Set a schedule for your pin

In the same screen above where I showed you how to create a pin is another feature in the same screen that lets you set the days and time people can use the pin to enter your home.

Schedule screen for Pin

Here is an example of scheduling in the app.

All done - with phone notifications.

Just showing you that it does give you notifications.
